This transmission electron microscopic (TEM) image reveals some of the ultrastructural exhibited by a number of Bacillus anthracis bacteria. Note that the elongated organism in the center, was cut in a longitudinal plane, through what appears to be a point of cell division, while the round-shaped bacteria were sectioned in their transaxial plane.
