This photograph was taken in the West African city of Freetown, Sierra Leone, and highlights the new Ebola isolation center, a week prior to its opening. This center would almost double the capacity for patient isolation that was currently available in the city. The image was captured during the 2014, Ebola outbreak, which not only affected Sierra Leone, but northern Liberia, Guinea, and Nigeria as well. In this particular view, two empty patient beds can be seen located within the confines of one of the center’s isolation tents.
