This image was captured through the lens of a colonoscope, during this 57-year-old male patient’s colonoscopy, and reveals the presence of sessile, smooth colonic polyp, which was situated in the sigmoid colon. The polyp was approximately 1 cm in diameter, asymptomatic, and was removed by snare cautery.
