Captured in 1995, this image depicts a Zairian nurse, who clad in what at that time was considered the requisite repertoire of personal protective equipment (PPE), had prepared to enter the Ebola isolation ward, during the 1995 outbreak in Kikwit, in the country of Zaire, which has since become the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
