This photomicrograph of a lung tissue specimen, reveals the histopathologic changes encountered in a case of measles pneumonia. Included in this view, are numerous leukocytes, and a multinucleated giant cell with intracytoplasmic inclusions. Normal alveolar cytoarchitecture has been obliterated.
