Caption:
This photomicrograph depicted a close view of a simple septate conidiophore topped with a number of Curvularia geniculata. Morphologically, the conidiophore exhibits what is referred to as, sympodial geniculate growth, which means that it is bent at points from which a conidium had sprouted. The conidia are multiseptate, and the centrally located septa appear to be more darkly pigmented than those at the ends. The central cell of each conidium also exhibits a greater width, imparting a curved appearance to the whole conidium.
