This photomicrograph reveals some of the ultrastructural morphology of numerous rod-shaped, Bacillus anthracis bacteria, many of which had had formed long chain configurations. The sample was processed using Gram-stain technique, which colorized the bacteria purple, due to their Gram-positive nature.
