This image depicts what at the time, were some of this clinic’s sanitary procedures practiced during the Kikwit, Zaire Ebola outbreak of 1995. In 1997, Zaire changed its name to the Democratic Republic of Congo. Note how this photographer was having the soles of his shoes sprayed with a disinfectant, after having emerged from an infected area.
