From an aerial view, this historic 1931 photograph showed the Findley, Minnesota water filtration plant. This was one of a series of instructional images used by the Minnesota Board of Health to train its public health workers. The focus of the images was on protecting water supplies from bacterial contamination due to incorrect disposal of waste, including sewage that could potentially foul ground water water.
