This is a portrait of McWilson Warren, PhD, MSPH, is a career US Public Health Service (USPHS) officer whose special areas of research included the study of primate malaria, and field epidemiology. Dr. Warren spent 26 years at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and 4 years at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He was active in the fight against malaria from the 1950s to the 1980s. Dr. Warren is currently retired, as of July, 2005.
