Caption:
This 1981 photograph depicts a wire stringer of mini bioassay cages, which were used in a field test in which endemic mosquitoes had been collected to be counted, and further analyzed. A bioassay field test is used in order to determine the relative effectiveness of a given substance upon a given organism, or community of organisms, in this case it was a local mosquito population, members of which can be seen in each of these traps.
