Caption:
This image depicts a close view of a male patient’s penis, highlighting the dermatitic condition known as lichen planus affecting the glans penis. Though LP is usually found on the flexor surfaces of the wrists and on the ankles, other sites including the lips, tongue, and buccal mucous membranes, and the penis, as was the case here, may be affected. The itchy lesions are raised, but flattened, reddish purple in color, and scaly.
