Caption:
This image depicts a posterior view of a patient’s torso, buttocks, and upper thighs, revealing cutaneous manifestations of a dermatitic condition known as lichen planus (LP), which had been disseminated over his entire body, but was concentrated over his torso and buttocks. LP is characterized by scaly flattened bumps, which appear erythematous, and usually manifests itself on ones wrists and ankles. Lichen planus affects the middle aged adult, rarely affecting children and the elderly, and has a predilection for no one demographic group.
