This image depicts a close view of a male patient’s penis, revealing the presence of a lesion on the penile shaft, in the region of the penile frenulum, which had resulted from a case of granuloma annulare. A benign dermatologic condition, granuloma annulare is a granulomatous inflammatory process that involves degenerative collagenous changes, and accompanying papular or nodular formations of the skin. It is a rare condition, and is not contagious.
