Description:This patient presented with a case of perifollicular petechiae of the skin caused by a vitamin C and/or vitamin K deficiency.
Perifollicular petechiae of the skin occur around the skin’s hair follicles as the name suggests, and are small, i.e., 2mm or smaller, hemorrhages, which occur due to the frailty of the capillary walls during a vitamin C and/or vitamin K deficiency.
