This illustration depicts a ventral view of a nymph-staged, or immature tick, a member of the class, Arachnida, highlighting the anatomic features exhibited by this tick at this stage of development, including four pairs of legs. A tick in its nymphal stage of development is very similar to its adult counterpart, however, it is still sexually immature, and does not yet display a ventrally located genital opening.
