Description:This photograph shows a patient having his blood pressure read by a public health practitioner.
The percentage of adults reporting that they had high blood pressure increased from 22.9% in 1991, to 24.9% in 1999. Increases were reported in almost all races, genders, ethnic and educational groups, except in persons aged 20-44 years.
