This 1970 photograph depicted a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) supervisor, who was instructing public health personnel on the methods implemented, when performing an inspection based on socioeconomic variances in sanitary conditions. Socioeconomic-based variables play a major role in determining levels of sanitation, and their ensuing health-related consequences. Therefore, the study of this data provides for a better prepared workforce of responsible sanitation inspectors.
