This photograph depicted a close view of a patient’s penis, in the region of the penile frenulum, revealing the presence of an ulcerative penile lesion, which was the result of a case of Donovanosis, also known as granuloma inguinale, caused by the bacterium, Klebsiella granulomatis, formerly Calymmatobacterium granulomatis.
