This 1976 photograph depicts the shallow edges of the Julesburg Reservoir in Colorado. Since 1971, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), have maintained a collaborative surveillance system for collecting, and periodically reporting data that relate to occurrences, and causes of waterborne-disease outbreaks.
