Caption:
This photomicrograph reveals ultrastructural details exhibited by a single unidentified pollen granule, which could be mistaken for a parasite’s egg. Pollen artifacts can be mistaken for parasitic eggs. Here, such a granule at first appears to be an egg from a member of the genus Taenia, however, the shell is thinner, displays a non-uniform thickness, and shows no visible hooks, or protuberances.
