Caption:
This photograph was captured during a 1974 arbovirus public health field study, involving the capture of local rodents, and testing them for the presence of arboviral organisms. Here, you can see three public health field scientists, who were in the process of collecting bats that were inhabiting the hollows on the underside of a train trestle, performing this activity during the daytime hours, while the bats were at rest.
