This was a 4-year-old child with a vesiculopapular skin eruption on the buttocks, due to dermatitis herpetiformis (DH), a rash that usually occurs on the buttocks, knees and elbows. DH is a chronic autoimmune disorder caused by one’s intolerance towards gluten, a protein found in wheat, rye and barley.
