This image depicts an anterior view of a female patient’s genitalia, revealing a cutaneous lesion involving the perivaginal and perianal skin. This ulcerative condition was found to be due to a case of granuloma inguinale, also known as donovanosis, a sexually transmitted disease caused by the bacterium, Klebsiella granulomatis, formerly Calymmatobacterium granulomatis.
