This is a photomicrograph of a slide culture specimen, which revealed some of the ultrastructural morphology exhibited by the fungal organism, Phialophora verrucosa, including its vase-shaped phialides with their darkly stained, cup-shaped collarettes, topped with its respective cluster of smooth-walled conidia.
