This photomicrograph reveals some of the ultrastructural details exhibited by the dermatophytic fungal organism, Sporothrix schenckii, including the organism’s teardrop-shaped conidia, some of which branching directly from the septate hyphae, singularly and in clusters, while a conidiophore is seen in the center, topped by a cluster of conidia.
