This patient presented with early, though progressive symptoms due to what was confirmed as the rabies virus. See PHIL 2539, 6112, 6113, 17348, 17349, 17350, 17351, 17352, 17353, and 17354, for more views of this hospitalized rabies-infected patient. As the disease progresses, neurological symptoms appear, and may include insomnia, anxiety, confusion, slight or partial paralysis, excitation, hallucinations, agitation, hypersalivation, difficulty swallowing, hydrophobia, and ultimately death.
