This image depicts a posterior view of a patient’s buttocks, which exhibited signs of a condition known as psoriatic dermatitis of the sacroiliac region of the lower back, buttocks, and perineum. Psoriasis is an erythematous skin condition characterized by irregular red patches, covered by a dry, scaly, hyperkeratotic stratum corneum, which usually occur on the elbows and knees, as well as scalp and lower back, but can occur anywhere on the body.
