Description:This photograph reveals paracoccidioidomycosis lesions on the face of this patient.
This is a fungal infection caused by the fungus Paracoccidioides brasiliensis. This pathogen is the only etiological agent for this disease, which is geographically restricted to areas of South and Central America.
