Description:This micrograph depicts the histopathologic changes associated with paracoccidioidomycosis due to P. brasiliensis.
This is the only etiological agent for the disease Paracoccidioidomycosis. The Paracoccidioides brasiliensis fungus is geographically restricted to areas of South and Central America. A cell of P. brasiliensis is centrally located.
