This image depicts a plantar view of a patient’s right foot, revealing the effects of a condition known as crab yaws. See PHIL 3826, for another view of the plantar surface of this patient's affected right foot. Note the soft, tumor-like masses on the sole of his foot, which when both feet are affected, causes the patient to walk in an odd, and characteristic fashion, on the sides of his feet, hence the nicknamed, crab yaws.
