Description:This laboratorian is shown placing a Falcon™ Flask with amniotic fluid cells under a vertical laminar-flow hood.
Amniotic fluid may be used as a cell culture medium in the prenatal diagnosis of aneuploidy, i.e. the presence of too few or too many chromosomes, or other chromosomal abnormalities.
