Caption:
This image from 1969, depicts a child, who’d developed a generally distributed maculopapular rash, with accompanying epidermal necrolysis, after having received a primary smallpox vaccination. The vaccination site is clearly visible on the child’s left upper arm. Note the characteristic scalded skin rash over the infant’s torso, upper extremity, face, and neck, indicative of epidermal necrolysis. For other views of this child’s condition, see PHIL 3313, 3314, 3315, 3316, 3317, and 3319.
