This photograph depicts a close right oblique view of a patient’s neck, revealing a number of lesions, which had manifested due to a case of chickenpox, an infectious disease caused by the varicella zoster virus (VZV), also known as Human herpesvirus 3 (HHV-3). The patient had presented to New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. See PHIL 24407, for another view of this patient’s condition.
