This photomicrograph of an unidentified tissue specimen, reveals the presence of an inflammatory granule exhibiting an eosinophilic border, a cytoarchitectural feature known as the Splendore-Hoeppli phenomenon, due to the bacterium, Nocardia brasiliensis, in a case of nocardiosis.
