This photograph depicted a May 28, 1962, anteroposterior (AP) chest x-ray of a patient who was later diagnosed with a case of coccidioidomycosis, due to the fungal organism, Coccidioides immitis. This x-ray, which was captured before those films depicted in PHIL 24389 and 24390. The C. immitis infection had been acquired in East Point, Georgia, through the patient’s handling of contaminated fomites.
