This photograph depicts a grouping of Anopheles quadrimaculatus mosquito eggs. Adult, female mosquitoes lay eggs one at a time, directly atop the water. The eggs have floats on either side, and float on the water’s surface. Adult, female mosquitoes lay 50–200 eggs at a time. Eggs do not survive if they dry out.
