This photograph depicts a magnified left lateral view of an adult male, Epitedia wenmanni flea, on the 25th-day after having fed on a plague infected mouse, for 29-minutes. Note the multiple dark masses of Yersinia pestis plague bacteria, that had developed in the flea’s stomach.
