Caption:
After having donned his requisite airtight containment suit (see PHIL 2545), this Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) scientist, was now inside a Biosafety Level-4 laboratory (BSL-4), while seated at a negatively pressurized flow hood. The hood acts to draw laboratory air into the hood, rather than allowing air to escape the hooded chamber, thereby, avoiding contaminating of the laboratory environment. Note that the scientist was wearing headgear, and how he was supplied with fresh, oxygenated air through a coiled hose that was secured to his suit.
