This 1964 photograph depicted a right lateral view of the torso of a penned Yorkshire sow, that was a member of a herd in Pennsylvania. Note the large circular lesion above the shoulder, that included the animal’s neck. It was found to have been caused by the fungal organism, Microsporum nanum.
