This photograph depicted an anterior view of a young boy, who was displaying skin lesions that had been diagnosed as a case of lichen urticatus, a hypersensitivity reaction, in this case, to numbers of mosquito bites. This scenario had been captured in Decatur, Georgia, in 1963. The lesions are most prevalent on the patient’s dorsal forearms.
