In this photograph, CDC Quarantine Public Health Officer, Chelsea Williams, was performing an assessment on a sick traveler, arriving at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. In the foreground, you can see the yellow flag on her uniform epaulets, symbolizing the historical protection of quarantine practice that has been part of our country’s public health service since 1798.
