This image depicted a frontal view of a Petri dish culture plate, that contained a Sabouraud dextrose agar growth medium, which had been inoculated with the fungal organism, Trichophyton rubrum, strain A-349, and underwent an incubation period of 4-weeks. The colony exhibited a grayish white coloration, that was highly folded, radiating from its center. This particular strain produced a colony that exhibited a smooth, almost velvety texture.
