This photomicrograph revealed some of the morphologic characteristics exhibited by the fungal organism, Madurella mycetomatis, formerly known as Madurella mycetomii. Captured during a state of sporulation, note the clumps of characteristic spheroid shaped conidia, which had sprouted from the tips of a number of flask-shaped phialides. You could also see that the hyaline hyphae were also septate in nature.
