Under a magnification of 1125X, this photomicrograph of an egg allantoic fluid culture specimen, revealed the presence of a number of plaques, and numerous, tiny, pinkly stained elementary bodies, which had been harvested from a case of psittacosis, due to the Gram-negative bacterial organism, Chlamydophila psittaci, formerly known as Chlamydia psittaci.
