Under a magnification of 475X, this photomicrograph revealed some of the ultrastructural morphology exhibited by a Scopulariopsis sp. fungal organism. Here, you were able to see the organism’s septate, filamentous hyphae, and numerous, basipetal chains of rough-walled conidia, each emanating from a single annelide, arranged in a cluster known as a penicillus.
