Under a magnification of 100X, this photomicrograph revealed some of the ultrastructural morphology exhibited by a Nigrospora sp. fungal organism, labeled A-515. Here, you are able to see the organism’s septate filamentous, hyaline hyphae, and numerous, darkly pigmented conidia, each emanating from a single ampulliform, or flask shaped conidiophore.
