This image depicted a frontal view of a Petri dish culture plate, which had contained an unidentified growth medium that had been inoculated with a fungal organism of the genus, Helminthosporium. After having undergone a 4-day incubation period, the culture gave rise to this single, large, woolly colony, which displayed a black, centralized coloration with a radiating beige periphery.
