Caption:
This image depicted a frontal view of a Petri dish culture plate, which had contained a Sabouraud dextrose agar growth medium that had been inoculated with a fungal organism of the genus, Oidium. The culture gave rise to this single, large, woolly, off-white colored colony, after having undergone an unidentified incubation period. The genus Oidium was formerly referred to as Oospora.
