This historic photograph from 1975, depicted an entomologist, who was seated at his compound microscope, while examining mosquitoes. Some were mounted, and some were living specimens. The compound microscope was used to identify the mounted specimens, while the stereoscopic dissecting microscope on the left, was used for living larvae obtained during field work.
